The margin that's left, before you say yes.
In rigid-box making the median job is 200 pieces. At that volume a nominal 26% margin drops to 1.4% once make-ready and spoilage sheets are counted: Cartis always counts them, even on the small job. And when the job is finished you know how many pieces you really made and what they cost: the actuals, not the estimate in the quote.
An ordinary day.
A quote to sign off
The fixed job costs are already in, with the quantity breaks and the unit price to three decimals. The number you sign is the same in the column, in the summary and in the quotation that goes out.
A die to order
Before you order a new one, Cartis checks the register to see whether that size is already there. In the archive it was born from, 48 sizes out of 115 were already there, under another code.
A job closed
Good, rejected and reworked pieces; actual costs excl. VAT, each with its reference; consumption read from stock. If nobody recorded a figure, the box stays empty: the program doesn't fill it in by itself.
What Cartis does for the person who runs the company.
Make-ready and spoilage sheets counted on every quote, even at 200 pieces.
Availability, location, expected arrival. The timer won't start if the tool isn't there.
Actual pieces and actual costs per job, with the person, date and reason for every correction.
Required, reserved, missing, ordered, received. Agreed price and actual price for every receipt; no average cost worked out automatically.
The owner authorises each person's browsers. Costs are visible only where they are meant to be.
On the Officina plan each person has their own colour and every change stays in the history.
By contract we don't look at price lists and mark-ups.
Your company's space is not visible to any other box maker. The link and the document you send to the customer go out with no financial data at all. After expiry the program switches to read-only: nothing is deleted and you can download everything.
The same job, seen by the others.
Three measurements and the layout is already right: paper, board, cutting die with dimensions, checked DXF files, inserts and foam.

Twenty minutes on your own boxes: three measurements, the quotation with the fixed costs, and the job as the shop floor will see it.
